A Little About Me

Hi, I'm Andrea Langston!

As an integrative nutritionist, I offer personalization of care, focusing on the uniqueness of each client. Because of that, there is no one-size-fits-all approach. We will work together to understand the underlying cause of your symptoms and develop a plan that will empower you to thrive and be your best based on your unique goals, challenges, health and family history.

I'm passionate about helping clients achieve their health and nutrition goals, regardless of where they are starting from. Whether you are looking to lose weight, learn how to manage a new diagnosis, prevent additional health concerns, or just understand how to be healthier, we can develop a plan to achieve your goals.

I specialize in helping clients understand and adapt to a gluten free diet for treating conditions such as celiac disease, gluten sensitivity, and other autoimmune or inflammatory conditions because I've gone through it all myself.

I hold a Master of Science degree in Nutrition & Integrative Health from the Maryland University of Integrative Health (MUIH) in Laurel, MD; am a Certified Nutrition Specialist® professional, certified by the Board for Certification of Nutrition Specialists; and hold New York Sate's Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist credential.

My Story

I've always been interested in nutrition, but I didn't realize it was my passion until I experienced firsthand how the food I ate could impact my health so dramatically. Several years ago, I was diagnosed with celiac disease. and quickly adopted a gluten free diet, (not without many trials and tribulations).

I immediately began reading book after book about the autoimmune disorder and quickly realized that I could not learn enough about nutrition and the impact of food on health. Realizing that my diagnosis was helping me uncover the direction of my future career, I decided to go back to graduate school for my Master's in Nutrition and Integrative Health from the Maryland University of Integrative Health. I relished learning more and more about how our bodies work, and understanding the intricate balance of our genes, environment, lifestyle, mindset, and the food we eat.

For anyone who is new to a gluten free diet or having trouble getting started, I know what you are going through. I've been there. I know how it feels, how difficult it can be, and where gluten can be lurking. Save yourself the time, energy, and prolonged ill health of delaying proper treatment by working with an expert who can guide and empower you to thrive throughout this lifestyle transition.
